Rey Manaj chests the ball and volleys inside the area … the keeper denies him, but the Albania forward has an easy rebound.

Magical once again from Lamine Yamal. He makes a run down the right, Pedri’s pass cuts through Croatia’s backline, but the teenage winger still has plenty to do from a tight angle inside the area. He finds enough space, though, squeezing the ball in via the inside of the post.

GOAL! Scotland 0-2 Switzerland (Elvedi 55)

And it gets worse for Scotland. Dan Ndoye is central to it again, collecting after a corner comes in, then sending in a teasing, low ball from the right. Nico Elvedi makes a smart run to finish from just outside the six-yard box.

GOAL! Slovenia 1-0 North Macedonia (Lovric 55)

Slovenia, who drew with Scotland in their opening game of the campaign, take the lead against North Macedonia through Sandi Lovric.

Just watching a replay of that Scotland red card: Switzerland move the ball at speed to expose the high line, and it’s actually a shame that Ndoye doesn’t get the chance to finish off a seven-pass move after some delicious one-touch play.

Kazakhstan are back in it thanks to Ramazan Karimov, who completes a lovely team move, turning on the edge of the area before blasting into the top right corner.

It didn’t take long. Lamine Yamal takes a corner short, claims the ball back and sends in wonderful cross with his right boot – Marc Pubill rises to restore Spain’s lead with a header.

Stuttgart’s Leo Sauer gets Slovakia up and running.

GOAL! San Marino 0-1 Albania (Mehmeti 21)

San Marino started their League C campaign with a 7-0 defeat by Finland … and they’re down against Albania, Ipswich’s Anis Mehmeti tapping in at the far post from a corner.

21 min: Scotland 0-1 Switzerland John McGinn and Ricardo Rodríguez have their arms all over each other as Scotland appeal for a penalty after a corner comes in.

Blackburn’s Andri Gudjohnsen, son of Eidur, slots in from close range to give Iceland an early lead in their League C fixture.

It gets even worse for the hosts. The long-serving Ricardo Rodríguez steps up for the free-kick, not penalty, but it doesn’t matter – he curls in a left-footer from the edge of the area past the diving Angus Gunn.

Red card for Scotland's Jack Hendry!

10 min: Scotland 0-0 Switzerland Switzerland move the ball brilliantly from the back, cutting through the centre before Dan Ndoye breaks free … and is taken down by Jack Hendry by the edge of the area. It looks a penalty … but there’s a VAR check and the challenge is just outside. But Hendry is on his way and Scotland are down to 10 after 10.

4 min: Spain 1-0 Croatia Cucurella crosses from the left, Baena is there for the first-time hit … and Livakovic gets down low to his right to make a fine save. The world champions are living up to the title.

Spain are back at home for the first time since winning the World Cup for the second time. Ivan Perisic, still going at 37, is the Croatian skipper, while Unai Simón has the armband for Spain in Seville. Let’s play.

A reminder that Spain are looking to extend their unbeaten run to 40 matches. They last lost a game in March 2024, against Colombia. So, you know, best of luck to Croatia. England came pretty close to ripping up the streak.
