Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayCanada's minister of jobs and families, Patty Hajdu, on Tuesday, announced $228.8 million in federal funding through the Canada-Ontario Workforce Tariff Response to help workers across Ontario. The funding promise is a three-year commitment and is expected to help some 27,000 people. This is in addition to nearly $925 million, annually, in federal funding that supports employment programs in Ontario. According to a report by RBC, tariffs were not imposed on around 89 per cent of Canadian exports to the U.S. in December because they’re compliant with rules of origin requirements in CUSMA. While nearly 90 per cent of the tariffs’ economic burden was borne by U.S. consumers and firms, Canadians have felt the impact of higher prices because of the integrated supply chains between the two countries.
