Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDeadline reports that Academy Award nominee Wagner Moura joins Kirsten Stewart in Flesh of the Gods, replacing Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein). Isaac was forced to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts.
Emmy nominee Elizabeth Olsen was announced to have joined the cast in May 2025 by Deadline, and there has been no update on whether this has changed.
Flesh of the Gods is described as an 80s vampire thriller that follows the story of married couple Raoul (Wagner Moura) and Alex (Kirsten Stewart) in Los Angeles, as they leave their luxury condo for nighttime adventures and cross paths with an enigmatic Nameless (Elizabeth Olsen).
The Twilight star, Stewart, is no stranger to vampire stories, after starring as Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga from 2008 to 2012. Kirsten Stewart recently completed her feature directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, last year.
From his breakout role as Pablo Escobar in Netflix’s Narcos, Moura recently became the first Brazilian to be nominated for an Academy Award for his brilliant role in The Secret Agent. He can next be seen alongside Greta Lee in Netflix’s sci-fi horror, 11817.
Andrew Kevin Walker will write the script. Walker is best known for writing Fincher’s heavily acclaimed Se7en, but may also be known for Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, and Fincher’s recent The Killer.
Panos Cosmatos (Mandy) will direct and has described the film as a blur of fantasy and nightmare. A24 has signed on as the U.S. distributor.
