Two persons have been arrested in an incident of stone pelting on Swarn Shatabdi plying between Lucknow — New Delhi, in which Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat was travelling.

The incident occurred at close to 7.20 p.m. on June 11 when the train was approaching Firozabad station of Prayagraj division. 

The miscreants were identified by CCTV cameras and arrested, Railway CPRO Shashikant Tripathi said. Mr. Bhagwat was travelling in seats 39, 40 in E1 coach of AC first class when the stone pelting occurred. The stone hit the exterior window near seat 51. The interior side of the window was not affected,” Mr. Tripathi said.
