The 2026 World Cup may be taking centre stage in the football world, but there is still the matter of the summer transfer window which is fast approaching.

There continues to be speculation surrounding the future of Morocco and Lille star Ayyoub Bouaddi, who has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella is also seemingly close to completing a move to Real Madrid, which would see his time at Stamford Bridge come to an end.

West Ham star Mateus Fernandes also continues to be linked with a move this summer, with the £80million-rated playmaker a player of interest to both Manchester United and Arsenal.

Calafiori transfer stance becomes clear

A potential transfer for Riccardo Calafiori to Real Madrid is virtually off the table after Los Blancos announced the signing of Spanish defender Marc Cucurella from Chelsea, reports Isaac Seelochan.

Real boss Jose Mourinho has been eager to bring Calafiori in from Arsenal.

It had been suggested that Mourinho views Calafiori as the missing piece in his defensive overhaul following initial moves to reshape the back line at the La Liga giants.

DEAL DONE: Cucurella confirmed

Real Madrid have announced the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea in a brief update on their website.

The Blues have also confirmed the move, thanking the defender for his time at the club.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Real Madrid are expected to announce the signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea today.

News emerged on Sunday that the La Liga giants and the Blues have agreed a total package worth £51.7million, with the Spain international expected to formally leave Stamford Bridge after the World Cup.

Van Hecke update

Tottenham transfer target Jan Paul van Hecke is set to be assessed by Dutch national team medical staff on Monday after he suffered significant swelling to his right eye in Holland's 2-2 World Cup draw with Japan in Dallas, reports Ryan Taylor.

Van Hecke has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs, and has revealed the damage impacted his vision, stating:

He kicked me in the eye with all his might. I was heading for the ball, so I thought something might happen.At some point, it definitely affected my vision. I can't see very well on that side right now. I hope it will get a little better in a few days. I think it will swell up a bit more later, but that's also part of the game.

Bouaddi transfer admission

Ayyoub Bouaddi has addressed the speculation surrounding his future after his impressive performance at the World Cup.

The 18-year-old starred for Morocco against Brazil over the weekend, and is now being linked with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Speaking to The Athletic following his performance against Brazil, he said:

For the moment, I am only focused on the World Cup and I cannot answer to this right now.Of course, I’m really happy to know that some clubs are interested in me. But, for now, I’m only focused on the World Cup with Morocco and we will try to give everything to do our best.

Mateus Fernandes stance

Mateus Fernandes' stance on a potential transfer to Manchester United has emerged.

Talksport reporter Alex Crook has claimed that the West Ham star is 'open' to a move to Old Trafford this summer, with personal terms not expected to be a concern if a fee can be agreed.

The Hammers are reported to value Fernandes at around £80miillion.

Marc Cucurella deal

Chelsea have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sell defender Marc Cucurella this summer.

The Blues left-back has expressed a desire to leave Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window, and a deal worth up to £51.7million has been agreed with the La Liga giants.

It's expected that the Spain international will complete his exit from Chelsea after the World Cup.

Arsenal 'in talks' to sign Bouaddi

Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Lille starlet Ayyoub Bouaddi ths summer.

The Times have reported that the Gunners have begun explorng a potential deal to sign the 18-year-old who is currently starring for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup.

Lille are reported to value Bouaddi at around £60million this summer.
