September can't come soon enough for Strictly Come Dancing fans, who are on constant alert after the BBC began drip-feeding the names of this year's contestants

BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing has begun announcing the contestants for the 2026 series as anticipation already starts to build.

The TV favourite may not be returning to our screens until September, but we've already had the names of three of the stars to official sign up - with rumours aplenty about who will be joining them on the dancefloor in a couple of months.

It's all change this year, with new presenters Emma Willis, pro dancer Johannes Radebe and comedian Josh Widdicombe presiding over the ballroom after replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman after 11 years fronting the iconic programme. It's not the only change after a pro dancer cull.

But it's business as usual with the esteemed judging panel of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Head Judge Shirley Ballas all back - but who will they be keeping a watchful eye on?

So far, three of the celebrity names have been revealed, and more are expected very soon as the race for the Glitterball starts to heat up. Here's who has said yes so far...

Lacey Turner

After being rumoured for the past few years, EastEnders long-server Lacey has said yes to the other legendary BBC show.

The bookies are going very early, and already make her the one to beat this year as she takes some time off from Albert Square as the Stacey Slater star signs up.

She said: "I am so excited to being making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing! I am a huge fan and can’t quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!"

Delta Goodrem

Aussie songstress Delta Goodrem has signed up and the popstar, who burst onto the scene in 1993, will be joining the star-studded line-up - and is looking to make an impression, having served as a judge on The Voice and competed in Eurovision in the past.

She said: "I’ve been incredibly honoured to perform on many different stages throughout my career - from tv, theatre, film sets, to touring my own shows around the world, there is however one stage I’ve never stepped onto and that is the ballroom floor! I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Strictly and can’t wait to get started!"

Dani Dyer

Look who's back! Dani Dyer has cast her fractured ankle to one side and will make a return to the show following her early exit last year due to injury.

After being paired with Nikita Kuzmin, Dani withdrew before the show even began and she made no secret that she hoped to make it on the dancefloor this year.

The former Love Island star and wife of West Ham footballer Jarod Bowen said of her return: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! "I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!"
