Hot on its heels was Sinners, which took home four statuettes, including a best actor win for Michael B Jordan.
In the best actress category, Jessie Buckley made history as the first Irish winner for her performance in the film Hamnet.
In the supporting categories, Sean Penn won for his role in One Battle After Another, while Amy Madigan was triumphant for her turn in Weapons.
