The electricity futures market is set to grow with increasing round-the-clock (RTC) and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) power volumes in the merchant market, industry leaders said. Speaking at the BNEF Summit here, they said low merchant volumes are currently hindering the growth of futures contracts, but this should change soon.
