Oranges on displayGlobal purchases of imported oranges were worth a total US$6.34 billion in 2025.
The overall value of oranges imported in 2025 increased by an average 5.8% for all importing countries from five years earlier in 2021 when international purchases of oranges were valued at $6 billion.
Year over year, purchases of globally imported oranges expanded by 8.3% compared to $5.85 billion starting from 2024.
In 2025, the largest importers of oranges were Germany, France, Netherlands, Russia and the United States of America. Collectively, that cohort of suppliers accounted for over one-third (36.2%) of worldwide purchases of imported oranges during 2025.
From a continental perspective, buyers located in European countries spent the most on imported oranges during 2025 with purchases costing $3.76 billion or 59.3% of the global total. In second place were importers based in Asia at 27.7% trailed by those in North America at another 9.5%.
Smaller percentages were delivered to Latin America (1.8%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean, Africa (1%), then Oceania (0.7%) led by Australia and New Zealand.
For research purposes, the 6-digit Harmonized Tariff System code prefix is 080510 for fresh or dried oranges.

Among the above countries, the fastest-growing markets for oranges since 2024 were: Italy (up 42.1%), Netherlands (up 39.5%), Russia (up 35.8%) and France (up 15.2%).
Those countries that posted year-over-year declines in their imported oranges purchases were led by: Saudi Arabia (down -14.2%), South Korea (down -9.8%), United Arab Emirates (down -5.5%) and mainland China (down -3.6%).
