Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayAfter meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris for a bilateral meeting on Friday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney took questions from reporters. The delayed opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge connecting Windsor, Ont. and Detroit, Mich., was the topic of the hour as Carney was asked to elaborate on the “technical issues” that he said caused the delay one day prior. While Carney didn’t expand on the supposed issues posed by U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, he confirmed he knows “what they are” and said, “I don't think it's productive to work through those in public.” Another reporter pointed out a comment from Michigan’s (Republican) House leader, Matt Hall, who said he would like to see a 50-50 split of the bridge’s toll revenue before it opens. Carney neither confirmed nor denied if an uneven toll split was the Trump administration’s concern, but made clear Hall was not “somebody who’s in the U.S. administration by definition.” Regarding his conversation with Macron, Carney revealed Canada may soon supply France with some critical rare earth minerals, confirming “a series of discussions” were “moving to transactions.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/11900036/canada-food-security-strategy/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on TikTok HERE: https://www.tiktok.com/@globalnews.ca?lang=en #GlobalNews #Canada #MarkCarney #France
