Grammy-nominated nu-metal giants Limp Bizkit will finally make their long-awaited South African debut when they perform at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday, 13 December.
Limp Bizkit was initially scheduled to tour the country in 2004, but the shows were cancelled.
Announcing the news on social media, Ticketmaster said: “Multi-platinum music icons Limp Bizkit are heading to FNB Stadium for the first time ever.”
Pre-sale tickets would be available exclusively through Ticketmaster from Wednesday, 10 June. The Big Concerts pre-sale opened on Thursday, while general ticket sales open on Friday.
Limp Bizkit is comprised of lead vocalist Fred Durst, guitarist Wes Borland, turntablist DJ Lethal and drummer John Otto. Founding bassist Sam Rivers died in 2025.
The band is best known for hits such as Nookie, Break Stuff, Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle), My Way and Take a Look Around. Limp Bizkit rose to global prominence in the late 1990s with its blend of rock, metal and hip-hop, becoming one of the defining acts of the nu-metal era.
Since its formation, the group has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and earned three Grammy nominations in the Best Rock Album and Best Hard Rock Performance categories. Beyond the Grammy nods, Limp Bizkit had also won several major industry accolades, including an American Music Award and multiple MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards.
