Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayProduction has wrapped on Oliver Stone’s upcoming drama feature White Lies, and a few past collaborators have now been revealed to be part of the cast.
Michael Douglas, who won the 1988 Oscar for Best Actor for Stone’s Wall Street, and Willem Dafoe, who appeared in Stone’s films Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July, are both on the cast list.
Ellen Barkin (The Out-Laws), Yvonne Chapman (Kung Fu), and Homer Gere (Euphoria), the son of actor Richard Gere, round out the cast. They join the previously announced star of the film, Josh Hartnett (Trap).
“The cast was a delight from beginning to end. And the Italian crew was the warmest I ever worked with. I’m profoundly grateful for this opportunity,” Stone shared in a statement.
White Lies is a passion project for Stone, filmed across Europe and Asia. It will mark his first narrative feature in over a decade, following his last film, Snowden.
Written and directed by Stone, the film is described as “a departure from his past work, offering an intimate and provocative drama that explores family, loss, pain and uncovers how love can change shape during our lifetimes.”
Synopsis
The film follows Jack Freeman (Hartnett), a child of divorce now repeating his parents’ mistakes in his own marriage and with his own children. Feeling trapped, he embarks on a lust-filled journey to escape—only to find himself more lost than before. When he meets a woman whose life is the opposite of his own, he begins an unexpected journey on the path of rediscovery.”
