Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe first trailer for one of Netflix’s most highly anticipated new shows is already getting fans emotional
There’s just a few weeks to go before this classic tale begins anew.
A new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming revamp of Little House on the Prairie already has subscribers reaching for the tissues.
Based on the internationally beloved bestselling and semi-autobiographical books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, the epic period drama follows the adventures and hardships of the Ingalls family in the 1800s.
After settling on a prairie in the American West, Charles (played by Luke Bracey) and Caroline (Crosby Fitzgerald), as well as their two daughters Laura (Alice Halsey) and Mary (Skywalker Hughes), must learn to adapt to their harsh environment to ensure their family’s legacy.
The books were published in the 1930s and originally adapted into a long-running Western drama series that aired during the 1970s and 80s. Now, decades later, a new generation will have the chance to discover the Ingalls’ iconic tale of struggle and survival.
A new trailer released by Netflix has offered viewers their first glimpse at the main cast. When the Ingalls family travel West for a fresh start, they realise their seemingly idyllic new homestead is more dangerous than they anticipated.
With support from their small town community, the family builds a new life amidst the turmoil of 19th Century American life, facing threats from wolves, diseases, and the Native Americans whose land the settlers have taken for themselves.
The trailer promises the reimagining of Wilder’s beloved books will be filled with heart and captivating drama, alongside some thrilling action that is sure to entice modern audiences.
Fans are already getting emotional after watching the trailer, with a YouTuber user commenting: “Making me teary-eyed.”
“My childhood restored. This is going to be epic,” someone else predicted.
“THIS LOOKS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!” another fan exclaimed. “They made it their own. I loved the original and I may love this one just as much. It's got its own vibe and I like that.”

Sky is giving away a free Netflix subscription with its new Sky Stream TV bundles, including the £15 Essential TV plan.
This lets members watch live and on-demand TV content without a satellite dish or aerial and includes hit shows.
This includes the brand new UK drama Unchosen, starring Asa Butterfield and Christopher Eccleston.
However, the reboot has also caught backlash from fans of the original who are unhappy with Netflix’s new take, including its darker tone and departures from the classic series and its source material.
One X user ranted: “I’m so aggravated!!! Netflix redone Little House on the Prairie!!! and from the trailer, it is clearly not like the original! Nobody is gonna be able to remake that.. it is beloved! They could’ve named it something else and I would’ve been fine watching it. They did not! #LHOTP.”
And someone else fumed: “Why can't they make just a new series? Why does it have to be "Little House on the Prairie"?
“There are probably hundreds of stories from the frontier they could tell. I am tired of all these remakes. Write new stories!”
Will you be tuning into a new generation of the Ingalls, or sticking to the original?
Little House on the Prairie premieres Thursday, 9th July on Netflix.
