Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPremier Wab Kinew said Saturday that Manitoba stands with the federal government after Prime Minister Mark Carney announced overnight that trade talks with the U.S. had collapsed, saying he has “got their back 100 per cent.” “History will not be kind to Donald Trump. So, we should never appease him and we should fight back, which is what Canada is doing today,” he said. Kinew said his government would work together with the Carney government to ensure industries will get the necessary support as Trump’s threatened 50 per cent tariff takes effect. Carney said Canada’s retaliatory tariff will be put in place next month. Kinew said Canada should be prepared to “duke it out” with the U.S. for the next two years while President Donald Trump remains in office.
