The seemingly ageless Kate Hudson and Ana de Armas are set to lead the original erotic thriller Palm Grove from writer James Morosini. 

Set in an exclusive Miami neighbourhood, Palm Grove follows a wife with the perfect life. She soon uncovers the mystery of her husband’s double life, in the process, reports Deadline, “igniting a seductive power game that turns betrayal into the most intoxicating game of her life.”

Oscar nominees Hudson and De Armas join the noted Hungarian director Kornél Mundruczó (White God) for Palm Grove, which makes the project sound all the more intriguing. The film is one of several erotic thrillers on the horizon, including Homewreckers starring Glenn Powell, and a Netflix project called An Innocent Girl, which is being led by Kerry Washington and James Marsden.

Kate Hudson was recently Oscar-nominated for Best Actress for the Neil Diamond-themed musical drama Song Sung Blue. Ana de Armas earned her first Best Actress nomination for her raw portrayal of the iconic Marilyn Monroe in the controversial biopic, Blonde. Morisini’s most notable work was his comedy I Love My Dad, which won the Grand Jury Award and Audience Award.

The production company behind Palm Grove, Chernin Entertainment, has enjoyed enormous box office success with the recent horror release Backrooms, which grossed $260 million worldwide and is adapted by director Kane Parsons from his own YouTube series.

Chernin has also enjoyed success with the sale to Apple of the highly anticipated spec script for One Month Mark, starring Jennifer Lawrence.
