Haunting CCTV footage shows the final moments of Jordan Wright.

Jordan Wright's death has been shrouded in mystery. The Only Way Is Essex star - who was on the show back in 2018 and also starred on Ex On The Beach the previous year - was found dead at the age of 33 in a drain.

The reality star's body was discovered on March 14 by a local worker close to Bang Tao Beach, Phuket. In a statement, a Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office spokesperson said: "We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities."

A spokesperson for TOWIE said in a statement: "Everyone at Towie sends their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jordan Wright at this very sad time." Tributes have flooded in for the reality star from pals and former TOWIE castmates.

Haunting CCTV

CCTV from outside the hotel where Jordan was staying has emerged, which showed him being "restless and moving back and forth" outside the property before he headed elsewhere.

Police said: "CCTV footage showed that he appeared restless and was moving back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area. His movements eventually led to the location where his body was later discovered."

In newly-revealed CCTV footage, Jordan can be seen grabbing onto a white pick up truck as he runs through the complex and nearly stumbles. He is then seen weaving erratically between buildings at the hotel complex.

What happened next is unclear but it is believed he ran across rough terrain which surrounds the hotel. He then is believed to have jumped down into a creek, which is around 10 foot deep and made his way through a shallow stream. Jordan is said to have then ended up on a nearby construction site, with no CCTV. This is where his body was later discovered.

Phone mystery

Jordan's phone was found on a nearby bank, police said. It has also been revealed that his phone's location and where his body was found was about 20 minutes walk away from the hotel he was staying at.

His iPhone 17 was located nearby but the hotel key card was still in his pocket. He appeared to be a regular phone and social media user, posting updates of his life in Thailand over the past few weeks.

Hotel check-in

Jordan checked into the hotel alone before he was found dead, police confirmed. The hotel had been unable to contact Jordan and a "search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities", according to police.

"Hotel records showed that he had checked in alone and was due to check out on March 13, but staff reported that he never checked out," police chief Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station said.

He had also been hanging out with friends, and one inferred they had been spending a lot of time together. He wrote in a tribute to Jordan: "Can’t actually believe I’m writing this. It’s hard enough saying goodbye to friend.

"Let alone someone who lives with you. And trains with you. Eats with you. Rides with you. Adventures one day. And smashes pizzas games, movies and s*** food the next day with you. Someone you come home to every night. Wake up in the kitchen most mornings and attack the day together." It is not yet known why Jordan checked into the hotel alone.

Autopsy pending

A cause of death has yet to be established as there is still an autopsy to be carried out. Investigators have said there were no signs of physical assault or a struggle.

He was found on Saturday at around 12.30pm. Chuthong said he is believed to have been dead for no more than two days before being discovered by a local worker. When he was found, the body had begun to bloat due to prolonged submersion, police said.

Police chief Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station said: "His movements eventually led to the location where his body was later discovered. We are still waiting for the autopsy results from Vachira Phuket Hospital to determine whether drugs were present in his system. The case remains under investigation while we wait for the official autopsy results.

"We cannot confirm the exact cause of death until the autopsy results are released. If relatives or friends have concerns about the cause of death, they can contact the police station."

Year of adventures

It appears from his social media that Jordan made his way to Thailand back in December last year. On socials, he'd been updating his fans and followers about what he described as a "very exciting year ahead".

He posted regular updates, including one just over a week ago, where he shared photos of himself enjoying champagne in a infinity pool, sunset boat rides, scuba diving and cocktails by the beach.

In one heartbreaking note to a friend, he wrote: "Life's good." The post was on March 6 and he was found dead on Saturday, with it believed his body had been there for no more than two days.
