Godavari Biorefineries Limited has secured a product and process patent from the European Patent Office on a pharmaceutical composition that combines novel anti-cancer compounds with a solubilising agent, the company said.
The composition is designed to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of the active compounds, improving their therapeutic potential, the company said, adding that it has significant applications in treating cancers, including breast and prostate cancers, through oral administration. The patent adds to Godavari Biorefineries Limited’s oncology-focused intellectual property portfolio, it added.

“In oncology research, identifying a promising compound is only one part of the challenge. How that compound is formulated can determine how effectively it can be developed for therapeutic use.
