 GT skipper takes dig at Shreyas Iyer's PBKS with 'bas jeetna hai' post

Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill shared another social media post after his team’s win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) taking a dig at Shreyas Iyer's side.Punjab Kings, led by Shreyas Iyer, faced a loss against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Sunday. PBKS scored 163 for 9, and their bowlers took the match to the final over before Washington Sundar finished the chase with a six.After the match, Gill posted a picture on social media with Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar, with thigh-five pose."Bas jeetna hai. Aava de," read the caption.

"Bas Jeetna Hai" is the Punjab Kings’ campaign for the IPL.Gill has shared similar posts earlier this season. After GT beat Chennai Super Kings in Chennai, he posted a picture holding the yellow whistle linked to CSK’s “Whistle Podu” campaign. The caption read “Nandri Chennai.”

After the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gill posted another image with Virat Kohli. The caption said “Play Hold @jaseholder98, Bold perfrormance by team tonight”, which many saw as a reference to RCB’s “Play Bold” slogan.

In the match against PBKS, Mohammed Siraj took two wickets in the first over, dismissing Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly. Kagiso Rabada later removed Prabhsimran Singh in the sixth over.

PBKS had a 79-run partnership between Suryansh Shedge, who scored 57 off 29 balls, and Marcus Stoinis, who made 40 off 31 balls. PBKS finished on 163 for 9.In reply, GT lost early wickets but Sai Sudharsan scored 57 off 41 balls to steady the innings. Washington Sundar remained not out on 40 off 23 balls and hit a six in the final over to take GT to the win.With this result, GT moved to sixth place with 12 points. PBKS stayed at the top of the table with 13 points.
