Homegrown companies Dixon Technologies (India), the over ₹12,000 crore Amber Enterprises India, Lava International, and NxtQuantum Shift Technologies (NxtQST) — the maker of Ai+ brand of affordable smartphones, including the Pulse (4G) and Nova (5G) — are planning to apply for eligibility under the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS), whose rules were notified last week with an earmarked budget of ₹62,500 crore over five years.
