Diamond braceletGlobal sales from diamonds exported from all countries were worth a total US$65.1 billion in 2025.
Overall, the value of globally exported diamonds retreated by an average -45.3% for all exporting countries since five years earlier in 2021 when global shipments of diamonds were valued at $119 billion.
Year over year, the value of exported diamonds dropped by -23.6% compared to $85.2 billion starting from 2024.
The 5 major exporters of diamonds were India, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, United States of America and Belgium. Combined, that quintet of leading exporters generated about three-quarters (74.2%) of international diamond sales in 2025.
Among continents, suppliers in Asia sold $41.3 billion or 63.5% worth of the world’s exported diamonds in 2025. Exporters located in Europe generated 14.9% worth, trailed by North America at another 13.1%.
Smaller percentages of global diamond exports originated from providers in Africa (8.3%), mostly Australia and New Zealand in Oceania (0.1%), and Latin America (0.04%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean.
For research purposes, the 4-digit Harmonized Tariff System code prefix is 7102 for unmounted and unset diamonds.

By value, the listed 15 countries shipped 96.2% of global exports for diamonds in 2025.
Among the top exporters, the lone growth exporter since 2024 was the United Kingdom via an 18% upturn.
Those countries that posted declines in their exported diamonds sales were led by: Russia (down -44.7% from 2024), United States of America (down -37.4%), Canada (down -34.1%), United Arab Emirates (down -32.5%) and Botswana (down -26.5%).
