Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayBritish Columbia Premier David Eby held a press conference Tuesday where he urged citizens of the Canadian province not to travel to the U.S. and to buy Canadian products rather than American. This comes amid repeated trade war escalations from U.S. President Donald Trump. "If you have a choice, please don't travel to the United States. Choose another place to do your tourism. If you can choose a Canadian product instead of an American one, please choose it," the premier said. Eby also responded positively to the federal government’s newly announced counter-tariffs and measures to protect and support Canadian workers and businesses. Though he supported Prime Minister Mark Carney's "dollar-for-dollar" tariffs on American goods, he suggested backing out of a $12 billion deal for U.S. fighter jets and to stop shipping American thermal coal. On Trump's unprecedented 50 per cent tariffs against Canadian goods, Eby called it an "unjustified attack" which he said makes him "angry too." "It is an extortionate attempt by the President to force Canada through any means necessary to bend to his whims and his will," he added.
