The British husband of an American woman who shot her two children before turning the gun on herself in a horrific murder-suicide is the brother of a Sky Sports presenter, it has been revealed.
Monika Rubacha, 44, Josh James, 14, and Emma James, 11, were found dead in their £1.3million Florida mansion from gunshot wounds last week while dad Richard James, 45, was away on a business trip to South America. Richard called the police concerned after he did not hear from his wife for a day and a half.
Now, it has been revealed that he is the brother of Sky Sports presenter Polly James - a veteran radio DJ who is currently working on Radio X and is known for working on Sky Sports darts coverage.

According to the Mail, there are pictures of Richard, his late wife and children on her Facebook page - including one with a caption about the family being over to visit Wales from America.
"We are really going through it. We have nothing more to say," Ms James told the Mail outside her Cardiff home. Polly and Richard's dad, Peter James, is a retired Navy Officer who was awarded an MBE for his services. He is believed to live in the US and work as the president of Euro-American Strategies, an international marketing company.
The deaths of Monika, Josh and Emma have sent shockwaves across the US, with officers who were sent to the Lakewood Ranch home being presented with a "violent scene." Police said: "This is a horrible thing for the deputies to have to witness.
"Even worse for the father and the husband who was on his way back from South America. he flew in this morning and had to be notified of what happened here. It's an incredibly emotional day for him. It's not a good scene at all."
Mr Warren added there was "nothing" that would have "indicated this would have happened". He said: "There’s really nothing there that would have indicated this would have happened."
Mum-of-two Monika is believed to have killed Josh and Emma in separate rooms of the home before taking her own life, according to authorities. Police added that no one else was involved in the shootings, which are being investigated as a murder-suicide.
All three suffered "traumatic injuries", with investigators theorising early on that there was "some planning involved" in the deaths. Authorities added that it was believed Monika "knew what she was doing" when she carried out the murder-suicide. Sheriff Rick Wells, who is investigating the deaths, said: "We don't understand what's going on with people and their mental health and what's going on behind closed doors.
"A case so horrific like this is something maybe no one could have ever predicted. I don't know if there were signs that maybe family members didn't pick up. We don't know."
The sheriff's office said the family had moved to the Lakewood Ranch area of Florida from Missouri around three years ago, and that no previous incidents had been reported at the home. Lake Club resident Paul Club said the neighbourhood has been left "so quiet" following the "total surprise and shock" of the incident.
