Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness has tried to ward off interested parties by claiming Harry Kane is worth over £200million. Kane has been in ludicrous form this season, scoring 48 goals in 40 games for Bayern and is attracting attention from rival clubs.
The England captain has been linked with Barcelona, as well as Saudi Pro League sides, because his current contract is due to expire in June 2027. His release clause dropped to a bargain £57m in January as he entered the final 18 months of his deal.
But for that price to become a reality this summer, Kane would have had to inform Bayern of his intention to leave before the end of January. The 32-year-old did not do so, and Hoeness insists that he is going nowhere.
He told Kicker: “(Kane) didn’t exercise his release clause, which means he’s definitely under contract here until summer 2027.

You never know when a Saudi comes along and puts a lot of money on the table, but he feels very much at home.”
He added: “I’d say Harry Kane is worth €150m (£130m). But then you see Alexander Isak cost €150m to Liverpool," he said. "If Isak is worth 150 million, then Harry is worth €250m (£217m).”
Isak was signed by Liverpool from Newcastle for a British-record fee of £125m in September. He has only managed three goals in 16 appearances for the Reds this season, with injuries plaguing his debut campaign.
By contrast, Kane is in a purple patch in front of goal and now has 133 goals in just 136 games since swapping Tottenham for Bayern in the summer of 2023. He has frequently spoken of his contentment in Bavaria and recently brushed off suggestions made by a Barcelona presidential candidate that he had held talks about moving to La Liga.
"I haven't heard anything about it," the Bayern star said. "My father and brother handle everything, but they haven't said anything to me. As I've already said, I'm very happy here at Bayern. I'm focused on this season and my time at Bayern. I take it as a compliment."
Bayern are keen to tie Kane down to another contract, which could see him earn £400,000 per week. But outwardly, the club are projecting a calm authority about the situation.
"He still has a year-and-a-half left on his contract," Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said recently. "He feels extremely comfortable here. We're not stressing about it.
"He should continue as he is and continue to feel so comfortable with his family in Munich. Then he can stay in Munich for a long time."
