Aadhar Housing Finance reported a 19 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in first quarter net profit at ₹282 crore against ₹237 crore in the year-ago quarter, with the bottomline being supported by a decent growth in net interest income and a jump in profit earned from selling or transferring loans.

Net interest income (difference between interest earned and interest expended) was up 19 per cent yoy at ₹510 crore (₹428 crore in the year-ago quarter).

Profit earned from selling or transferring loans shot up 54 per cent yoy to ₹50 crore (₹32.5 crore).

Assets Under Management (AUM) increased 18 per cent yoy to stand at ₹31,364 crore as at June-end 2026. Disbursements were up 19 per cent yoy at ₹2,036 crore (₹1,979 crore).

Gross non-performing assets (GNPA) on AUM improved marginally to 1.31 per cent from 1.34 per cent.

Rishi Anand, MD & CEO, said: “The operating environment for low income housing finance remained favourable during the quarter, supported by resilient demand, stable affordability and continued strength across Tier-II and Tier-III markets.

“Long-term fundamentals remain strong, underpinned by low mortgage penetration, rising urbanisation and the country’s sizeable affordable housing requirement, particularly across the EWS and LIG segments.”

Shares of Aadhar Housing Finance closed at ₹496.40 apiece, up 0.49 per cent over the previous close of ₹494 on BSE.
