A former Mossad agent helped with the escape. Ex-CIA agents are warning about the method used to get Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro out of Brazil. The plane used in the operation is suspected of links to businessmen who are far more than questionable. There was a disinformation ploy. And the flight landed at an airport that is notorious for its place in the history of White House interventions in Latin America.

The operation to get Brazil’s defeated presidential candidate out of the country tells us a great deal. Some Brazilians may still have wondered which flag the Bolsonaro family really serves. 

This event answers that question. Bolsonaro is, in the end, just a puppet of foreign interests.

TV Globo reported the details of the operation on Sunday. None of it should surprise anyone. Bolsonaro promised to give Brazil’s rare earths to the United States. He vowed to privatize public assets, give up national sovereignty over the defense of Brazilian territory, and align Brazilian foreign policy with American and Israeli interests. 

He is the son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, a coup plotter.

Bolsonaro even offered to put the U.S. State Department in charge of his transition team. Nothing like that has ever happened in Brazil.

All the while, he posed as a patriot. He wore the flag and the Brazil national team jersey like a costume to fool millions of voters. He used the word “patriot” to hide what could have been the worst act of treason ever seen at the highest levels of Brazilian politics.
