Forty-four women civil police officers of the 21st batch passed out from the Kerala Police Academy after completing nine months of basic training, marking their formal induction into the force. Armed Police Battalion ADGP Dinendra Kashyap received the salute at the passing-out parade held at academy ground at Ramavarmapuram on Monday. The parade was led by Sajana Yusuf, with M. Shafna serving as the Second-in-Command.

Awards were presented to trainees who excelled during the training period. J. Fathimabeebi was adjudged the best indoor cadet, while Sajana Yusuf was named the best outdoor cadet. Y. Majitha won the award for best shooter, and C.M. Fasila was selected as the best all-rounder.

The training programme included modules in forensic science, forensic medicine, penology, victimology and cyber forensics, equipping the recruits with skills to handle modern policing challenges. Officials said the training also focused on the humane aspects of policing, including interaction with women, children, senior citizens and gender-neutral communities, as well as preventing environmental crimes.

Kerala Police Academy Director K. Sethuraman, along with public representatives and senior police officers, attended the funtion.
