A community in Western Manitoba is cleaning up tonight after a tornado touched down early Sunday evening. Environment and Climate Change Canada says they received multiple reports of a tornado near Elkhorn, close to Saskatchewan's border with Manitoba. Local resident Kurt Fuchs captured video of the storm on his drive home through Elkhorn, saying he saw a lot of damage, including a tower that was “snapped like a twig,” and “huge trees that were maybe over a hundred years old… ripped out of the ground.” The nearby community of Kola is also dealing with damage from the intense weather system, which also produced a tornado in Saskatchewan.
